Incline Tram Product Features
Our fully enclosed universal car is 44″x64″ and meets all ASME 17.1 industry standards. it is designed to comfortably seat four adults and has a cargo capacity over 1200 pounds. All passenger cars come with 36″ wide entry doors making them handicap accessible. We also offer fold up seats that lock in place for added storage / cargo space. Flooring and seating material can be green treated lumber or wood composite decking. The track is built in 5 foot & 10 foot sections; constructed with heavy-duty steel framing; and is built with a special bar joist support system for extra strength. All metal components are powder coated for durability. The special interlocking design of the track and passenger car makes it impossible for the passenger car to be tipped off the track.
Lake Shore Tram is the industry leader in utilizing a continuous wrap main cable system to provide a smooth ride. All three cables used in our Lake Shore Tram Lift System are high quality American made galvanized aircraft cable with a minimum rating of 17,000 lbs.
A standard Lake Shore Tram Lift System comes complete with Up, Down & Stop push button control switches. Push button stations are located at the top and bottom of the Lift System and are easily accessible from the passenger car. The car stops automatically at the top and bottom by activating a limit switch. All you do is sit back and enjoy the ride!! The multiple stop feature of our hand held remote allows you to stop the car anywhere along the track. The remote control system also provides a built-in security feature for your peace of mind.
The drive unit features a heavy duty 3HP electric motor / brake system. We have up to 7.5 motors available for unique applications. Three-phase / 220 electrical power is utilized to reduce operating costs and improve over all efficiency. Our Lift System features microprocessor based and UL controls. In addition, our newest fail safe braking system uses cutting edge technology and is UL certified. The entire drive unit has a fiberglass cover to protect it from the elements. our Soft, Start and Stop feature is similar to that of modern commercial elevators, ensuring a safe, smooth, and relaxing ride.
